Love to be delighted in

“You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of ADONAI, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. No longer will you be termed “Forsaken”, no longer your land termed “Desolate”. Instead you will be called, “My Delight is in Her” and your land, “Married”.

For ADONAI delights in you, and your land will be married.”

Who doesn’t love to be delighted in? Today my friend Corry told me, “Ted loves working w you” and my eyes lit up. Ted Pearce is someone I admire as a fellow soldier in the Lords army. Though we’ve never been on the same record label together, I danced to his music for years in the worship dance at congregation and have taken notice that there are only a hand full of artists like him who deeply and truly Love serving people and choose love and integrity over self promotion.

When i I was first starting out in ministry, I saw him at a concert ad he invited me up to sing backgrounds w him. At the end of the night, he gave an offering to my ministry. He didn’t know it at the time that our family was close to being poor. We saw that day that his heart is real. Now ain’t that funny! I wrote this blog to talk about how good it feels when someone else delights in you. And here I am delighting in my brother’s kindness!

Which brings me to my point...when someone thinks highly of you, you also feel delight or delighted. You may have been discouraged and like me, you may have felt like the underdog, with the least amount of youtube subscribers and not many albums (last one, who will go, was iN 2014.

But the fact that someone takes delight with who I am and what I stand for strengthens me. And even better than someone you admire taking delight in your work or your voice or spirit, how marveliud that You will be delighted in by God? cool is it that the scriptures tell us The king of Kings delights in you and me!

We have a choice today. Will we allow Gods delight in us to go unnoticed? Or will will we remember it and allow

this delight to fuel us? Will we embrace pity and or shame? Defeat? Or will we remember

that we are Gods children, a gem in His Hand,  His delight?

shine On! You are worthy because the Lord, your Abba, loves you.
